A Trip to Vizag City of Destiny

Visakhapatnam is one of the top tourist places in India. Famous for the wonderful beaches and lovely tourist attractions, Visakhapatnam attracts tourists from all over India. Being recognized as one of the top cities to be developed as a smart city, our friends planned a one day tour to Visakhapatnam.

Visakhapatnam is place full of beaches and you would love to spend your time in this place. Especially if you are planning to take a break from a hectic work schedule, this is the place to be for a short vacation. There are many other places across Vizag like Aruku Valley, Borra Caves, Godavari River Tour but we planned a short visit to the top beaches in Vizag and visit Simhachalam temple.

Travel to Vizag
We had plenty of options of Domestic Airlines and bus tours to Vizag, but we opted for the flight as it was cheaper from Hyderabad as we planned the trip two months back. Flight costed us around 4K up and down from Hyderabad and we got a good deal from Yatra as we booked our hotel along with our flight.

We landed early in the morning and had a chance to capture some wonderful picks of the Indian Ocean from our flight as we got our window seat in Airport. Remember to take a window seat even if costs a few bugs more if you are planning to arrive or depart from Vizag Airport in the morning or evening. The morning pictures and the night pictures are wonderful and absolutely loved the picture of Vizag from Air Top.
Our trip started with on a car with four of our friends. Initially we visited R K Beach which is one of the best maintained beaches in Vizag. Early in the morning, you will love to enjoy the beach side swim and see people doing morning exercises. Sunrise at beach side is one you should not miss during your Vizag trip. We spend around two hours there and returned back to the hotel.

We had a complimentary breakfast and then visited Simhachalam temple, one of the top temples in South India. Simhadri Appanna is the lord which resides at Simhachalam. Most of the lands in Vizag city belongs to this lord. Don’t forget to visit Kappa Stambham and let your wish be said to Lord. This Lord is very powerful and people from different parts of country come to visit this temple. We spent our time here till Lunch. Darshan was very good and we enjoyed every bit of moment we spent here.

In the evening, we went on long drive to Yarada Beach, Red Sand Piles which are very famous and finally went to Kailasagiri Hills. On Kailasagiri hills, you have the idols of Lord Shiva and Parvathi Devi. The place is one of the best places in Vizag. The view of Vizag from top of Kailasagiri hills is absolutely memorable. Don’t miss to take pictures on top of Kailasagiri.

After Kailasagiri, we went back again to RK Beach, had dinner and reached hotel by night. It was one of the most entertaining trips we had recently.
Hope you loved this article. Do share your interesting places in Vizag.
